August is Officially the Worst Month Ever

If August taught me anything, it’s that the best laid plans of mice and men, oft’ go awry. Remember that old saying by Robert Burns you were forced to learn in Literature class in third grade? ‘No.’ Just me? August has taught me exactly that.

As intentional as you want to be and as optimistic as you are, sometimes situations don’t work out. Sometimes you end up failing in the process, or you end up crying to your roommate because you haven’t worked on your own projects for weeks and instead are throwing yourself at other jobs in order to distract yourself from the fear of failure that cripples you daily. Still just me?

The ‘G’ Issue was sort of a way for me to show you where TW started and give headway to where we want to go and who we want to become. What I didn’t realize was that so much of the beginning stages revolved around my own self care, but weren’t entirely actualized, until I started looking at wellness as an ongoing process that should, in every aspect, be holistic.

Now, I realize that much of the process of living a holistic lifestyle can be summarized by the adage spoken to you every time you ride an airplane, “in the event of an emergency, please put on your oxygen mask before assisting others.” Overall, August, in all of its trite prose and inexactitudes, has lead me to understand that this process is and should be conscious, ever-evolving, open minded, and exploratory with a goal of making individual and universal change.

I hope you stay on this journey with me, and I hope that you begin to find yourself in the stories and topics we discuss. If you didn’t read The ‘G’ Issue, below are the stories in no particular order that were discussed. Leave a comment below, tell me what you want to hear for September and tell me how your August went. Did you make any drastic changes? How did the retrograde effect you? It left me in a tailspin communication wise, but of course, I already knew that would happen.
